  • Nintedanib is a substrate of P-gp and, to a minor extent, CYP3A4. The Concomitant administration of P-gp and CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. erythromycin) with Nintedanib may increase exposure to nintedanib. In such cases, monitor patients closely for tolerability of Nintedanib.
  • Concomitant administration of P-gp and CYP3A4 inducers (e.g., phenytoin, carbamazepine, and St. John’s wort) with Nintedanib should be avoided as these drugs may reduce the exposure to nintedanib.
  • Nintedanib is a VEGFR inhibitor, and may be responsible for increasing the risk of bleeding. Assess patients on full anticoagulation therapy precisely for bleeding and adjust anticoagulation treatment as necessary.
